Hello! My name is Aniqa Ahmed, a fourth-year Political Science major at UF.

 

I began my time as a Path to Purpose Fellow during the Fall 2021 semester, where I had the opportunity to actively listen to Gainesville community leaders and understand the living realities of community organizing. 

 

As we moved to the Spring 2022 semester, the previous student director of the fellowship graduated. I was given the opportunity to be the student director and support the fellowship by coordinating with our fellowship advisor, Manda Wittebort, and providing assistance to the Community fellows.

Through this fellowship, I learned that my passion lies in creating community capacity by building relationships that have the goal to create tangible change and contribute to community development.
